هنگامی که زبان جدیدی را می‌آموزیم، در بسیاری شرایط به‌دلیل پیچیدگی زبان هدف یا به‌واسطه تاثیرات زبان مادری اشتباهاتی را مرتکب می‌شویم. اشتباهات رایج در زبان انگلیسی در بین زبان‌آموزان رایج و پرتکرار هستند.

برادرم ۱۰ ساله است. My brother is 10 (years old). My brother has 10 years.
به من گفت که تو را دوست دارد. She told me that she liked you. She said me that she liked you.

همیشه با مترو به سر کار می‌روم. I always go to school by subway. I go always to school by subway.
معمولا با ماشین به خانه می‌روم We usually drive home. We drive usually to home.

او یادگرفت که تنیس بازی کند، شنا کند و کشتی‌رانی کند. He learned to play tennis, to swim and to sail. He learned to play tennis, to swim and sail.
